EPDM

What is an EPDM Roofing System?
EPDM roofing is a popular material for flat and low slope roof commercial roofs. EPDM stands for “Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer” and it is a durable synthetic rubber membrane made from oil. In fact, it has been a popular choice in the industry for over forty years and has proven its ability to endure lots of hazards, including hail, UV ray resistant ozone, and extreme heat. It is also able to stay flexible in cold temperatures. EPDM roofing material has a life expectancy of 10-50 years with manufacturer’s warranty available 10-30 years.
Benefits of EPDM Commercial Roofing.
  • Lightweight, meaning less weight on the building structure

  • Proven performance record of over 50 years

  • Low maintenance requirements

  • Resistant to heat and fire

  • Remains flexible and accommodates structure movement

TPO

What is a TPO Roofing System?

TPO is short for thermo-plastic olephine, the chemical composition of this fabric-like roofing material. TPO represents a newer roofing technology that’s still being refined by different manufacturers. The material comes in rolls of different sizes, making it suitable for a variety of flat and low slope roof projects. It can be installed with adhesives, mechanical fasteners or stone ballast. All of which have heat welded seams.

Like EPDM and PVC roofing, TPO requires a clean, uniform substrate; it can’t be installed directly over existing roofing material.

Benefits of TPO Commercial Roofing System.
  • Very durable and long lasting

  • Environmentally friendly

  • Extremely waterproof

  • Easy to maintain and repair

  • Heat reflective to save on energy bills

  • Ideal for photovoltaic “solar” ready roof systems

What is a PVC Roofing System?

PVC or Polyvinyl Chloride Commercial Roofing Systems have a longer proven track record than any other thermoplastic (heat welded single-ply) roofing system available. Heat welded single-ply roofing systems are the fastest growing application in the commercial roofing market. As a thermoplastic membrane, PVC is resistant to breakdown in commercial/industrial applications with various chemical contaminants. It is also very flexible to the changes in weather and expansion/contraction that a roof system goes through. PVC roofing is built to last 25 years or more. On top of all that, PVC is recyclable at the end of its useful lifespan.

Fleeceback Membrane

What is a Fleeceback Membrane Roofing System?

Fleece back membranes are a new type of single-ply roofing systems that are commonly used in today’s commercial roofing industry. These offer a variety of benefits and advantages for commercial roofs. In particular, EPDM/TPO fleece backed membranes are the best options for BUR roof system re-cover applications. When you’re looking to avoid the expense of removing an existing roofing system before installing a new one, fleece-back EPDM/TPO is the perfect choice.

Benefits of Fleeceback Roofing Systems

Fleece Adds Toughness and Durability:

  • External fleece reinforcement creates a very thick 100-, 115- and 145-mil EPDM sheet and
    100-, 115- and 135-mil TPO sheet

  • Choice of Sure-Seal (black) or Sure-White (white) EPDM

  • Choice of Sure-Weld  in white or tan TPO

  • Fleeceback 100 offers 40% greater puncture resistance than 60-mil EPDM and 180% greater
    tear resistance

  • Greater puncture resistance than Modified Bitumen

  • 67% fewer seams than Modified Bitumen

  • Passes FM’s severe hail test
